Are sponsoring a Patrol RifleTraining Course for Auxiliary and Reserve Officers

This Course will be presented by MPTC Master Firearms Instructors.

Course will be held in two sessions

Thursday May 15 2014 6pm to 10pm (Classroom)  Location: Westminster Police Department

Saturday May 17 2014 9am to 6pm (Range)  Location: Worcester County Sheriff Office Range


Members $125

Non- Members $150

Plus students to supply 250 rounds of rifle ammunition AND 50 rounds of pistol ammunition

Pre-class Student Requirements

All Participants MUST have completed either the MPTC Reserve (20 Hour) or Full-time Academy Firearms Training Programs.

All participants should re-familiarize themselves with the basics by and downloading read and review the MPTC Reserve Intermittent Recruit Firearms Training Manual (RFM) found at the following link:

Equipment Requirements

50 rounds pistol ammo (full metal jacket training ammo permissible)

250 rounds rifle ammo (full metal jacket training ammo permissible)

Service Pistol w/minimum of three (3) magazines

Patrol rifle with sling and 3 magazines

Full Duty Belt including security holster, magazine pouch, handcuffs, Inert OC w/pouch, baton

Body Armor

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)* (eye & hearing protection and cap with visor)

Note taking materials

Suitable clothing for the anticipated weather conditions (bring what you wear on duty)

Brown bag lunch

*No one will be permitted to participate without PPE
