Mutual Aid Request for Auxiliary Police Departments

To: Auxiliary Police Agencies

The 27th Annual Groton Road Race is just around the corner.  We respectfully request volunteer assistance from your agency for crowd and traffic control.  The race is scheduled for Sunday, April 29, 2018.  The race times have changed from previous years to reflect an earlier start time.  Please plan to arrive by 8:00 a.m. and we expect to be finished for the day at 12:00 p.m.


The staging area for the event will be located at the Workers Credit Union 308 Main Street (Rte. 119) Groton, Massachusetts.  ALL Volunteers are required to sign in to ensure accountability.  Officer in Charge/Commanders are asked to report to the Command Tent upon arrival for traffic post assignments.  We would also request that the OIC/Commander of your unit, submit your radio frequency and PL code prior to the race so that we may coordinate the communications with the command post.
